We are breeders and exhibitors of Japanese Akita based in Adelaide, South Australia.

 

We are introducing our new Kennel Prefix: OKUCHI SOU this translates to “Outback Domain/Manor” which combines the Japanese and Australian Heritage of our lines.

 

We have been involved in Showing and breeding the Akita (Japanese) Breed since December 2012 when we arranged to import our foundation bitch: Koujume Go Miyagi Kozaki Kensha, AKA “Tenshi”

 

Our dogs are valued and beloved pets first and foremost. It is our intention is to honour the breed that we love by working towards a population of dogs who are healthy, sound in temperament and correct in type.

 

We have a range of mentors both inside of Australia and out, who have experience both in our breed and in other breeds whose opinions and knowledge are of huge value to us.

We are also very proud to have active working relationships with other ethical breeders of the Japanese Akita in Australia and are excited to continue to network and share our knowledge together for the betterment of our breed.

 

No one can ever know everything, and so with all of our research combined with the knowledge of others we hope to achieve the best results for the Akita (Japanese) in Australia.

 

2015 has seen us welcome “Hiroto Go Soukisou” to Australian shores. Hiroto is a delightful boy who has been selected based on his complimentary features and pedigree for our foundation lines.

 

As breeders it is our intent that every puppy would go to a home which is suitable for his/her individual personality, as well as the personality traits and difficulties which are associated with Owning Akitas. All potential homes are screened not only to this end, but to support our own breeding goals which includes lifelong support and updates on the health, training and management of our Akita’s.
